Veterans Day!

Veterans Day FlagToday is Veterans Day. It’s a day we don’t acknowledge often enough. It has been said that, “In war there are no unwounded soldiers.” Every soldier that comes home, is affected from being overseas. We must not forget how much they need our support both here and overseas. We need to honor and be grateful to all those who are serving our country and have served in the past. They should be greatly appreciated for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make that we might have liberty. We need to keep them in our prayers and support their families here while they are away. I am including some information about how to support the troops overseas as well as military families here in America. Also here are some quotes that I found very uplifting!

“This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.” —Elmer Davis

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” —John F. Kennedy

“Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world, but the Marines don’t have that problem.” —Ronald Reagan

“Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.” —Abraham Lincoln

“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” —Billy Graham

Below are links to great websites that have been created to help support our troops and their families. You can do as little as sending a letter overseas to a soldier, or as much as a care package with needed supplies. There’s also ways to support the Military families stateside. May no soldier go unloved.
