Fresh Asparagus in Cast Iron

Fresh Asparagus in Cast IronMy Dad recently gave me my grandmother’s cast iron skillets and I am loving learning to cook in them. Everything I have made has been amazing. I oil them after every use and they are becoming great non-stick pans.  They are healthy pans to cook in also.


Ingredients

  • Asparagus
  • Olive oil
  • Seasonings

Instructions

I trimmed the asparagus and heated a few tablespoons of olive oil in my cast iron skillet. I sprinkled the asparagus with several different spices. I used a garlic rosemary mix and some chicken seasoning. I rubbed some olive oil and the spices through the asparagus and cooked it in the hot skillet. It only took about 15 minutes. The asparagus was crisp tender and so delicious. Cast iron heats very evenly and it makes it so easy to cook things.
