I Won A Trip To Egypt!!!!

I learned how to do Sweepstakes as kind of a fluke. What I went on to learn, was that hundreds of companies do Sweepstakes and the prizes are free to whoever wants to enter! I figured that person might as well be me! The only thing I have to invest is my time. These companies are giving away cash, trips, cars, boats, appliances, electronics, gift cards and hundreds of miscellaneous prizes.

After I won that first prize I continued to enter and I continued to win prizes. I have won cash, trips, an iPad, gift cards and literally hundreds of misc. prizes. I am going to pass on some tips I have learned that would be helpful if you would like to give it a whirl.

First of all find a legitimate Sweepstakes Website. The one I have won the majority of my prizes is called sweepstakestoday.com. Then you need to download an auto fill program so you don’t have to continually fill in all of your information, you just click one button and it does it for you. I have used roboform software and currently I just use Google Chrome’s auto fill and it works great. You never want to give any private information such as a social security number or credit card info. Simply name, address, phone  and email.

The next tip, is to enter everyday or at least as often as possible.  There are various types of sweepstakes.  Some you can only enter one time, some you can enter everyday, some weekly, monthly etc.. The more local a Sweepstakes is the better chance you have of winning because it limits the amount of people that can enter to your immediate area. Obviously the more times you can enter, the greater your chances of winning.

There are also Sweepstakes that require an additional step. These are great to enter because the additional work to enter it will cause people not to go that extra step and they will skip it. For example, one Sweepstakes where I won $10,000, required that you upload a photo each time you entered. I went that extra step each time I entered it for the duration and my patience was rewarded with $10,000.

Some will require a short survey or answering a few questions. Depending on how much time you want to invest will determine whether or not to enter.

I have been entering sweepstakes for several years and it has been a very fun and exciting hobby. It requires patience. This isn’t for the instant gratification person! Some entry periods can last for many months. You can find out you’re a winner by email, phone call or mail. I have had many items randomly arrive in the mail. I have received emails that required a response. An item that is worth more than $500.00 will require an affidavit that you have to have notarized by your bank for IRS purposes.

When I was riding that camel across the Egyptian desert I was so thankful I entered that Discovery Channel Sweepstakes each day for the 14 days it was available to enter. It was a wonderful trip to see the treasures of Egypt and truly an unforgettable experience.

The other nice thing about entering sweepstakes is that you can do it from anywhere. I can enter from my laptop, ipad or phone. So if I have a few minutes of downtime I simply go to my sweepstakes website and enter as many as possible in that available time frame.
