Honduras Part 10

Wednesday January 24, 2001 Day 10 Honduras trip

Honduras Part 10I think I might have slept an hour last night. I’m so tired! The hotel was so noisy. We decided to find a different one. This one is much better. John did a radio broadcast at 11am then there was a service at 2 pm somewhere near here. I decided not to go. This is the first service I have missed but due to the extreme heat and dust I decided to stay in my air conditioned hotel room. I’m watching Spanish t.v. I found a tennis match on ESPN. Yay I understand tennis. There is also a discovery channel but of course I can only look at the pictures, I don’t understand a word. I ate very little today, an apple and some chips and crackers.

I ended up staying here during the evening service also because they got back too late to pick me up. I didn’t mind, I needed a break. I’m very good at entertaining myself. I take my sewing bag with me everywhere so I always have something to do. I am embroidering some pillowcases for Sis. Casco. I’m also working on an afghan and I have a book. I don’t like to ever sit around with nothing to do. I’m always prepared!

When John got back, he told me it was good that I didn’t go. He said the road was the worst so far. They actually had to get out of the truck and move rocks and things in the road. He said the people lived in huts. They took the battery out of the truck to use it to hook up the sound system. They got back at 7:30 and he was so exhausted. It was nice to have a little time to myself and just to regroup.
