Up North
Up north is a single word if you live in the state of Michigan! It is part of our vocabulary and we all know the definition! We all have our favorite places in the state to visit and most of the time we are heading north. North can be half an hour north or it can be in the upper peninsula, which by the way is called the U.P.
I am currently going up north this weekend for a little get away with my husband to one of our favorite places, Mackinaw. I decided to give you a little tour of Up North! Veterans Day!
Today is Veterans Day. It’s a day we don’t acknowledge often enough. It has been said that, “In war there are no unwounded soldiers.” Every soldier that comes home, is affected from being overseas. We must not forget how much they need our support both here and overseas. We need to honor and be grateful to all those who are serving our country and have served in the past. They should be greatly appreciated for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make that we might have liberty. We need to keep them in our prayers and support their families here while they are away. Worry
Worry. It’s one of my greatest battles. Here is my definition of worry: It is believing that a very trustworthy God who has never made a mistake or failed in any way has suddenly become incapable of handling my situation! Remember this is my defintion. I have been through tremendous trials and have been able to set aside my worry and fear and place my trials in God’s hands many times over the years but on a daily basis it has become a constant enemy.
